When we think of the target market for diamond jewelry we usually think of the more mature buyer with a high disposable income. Teenagers are unlikely diamond buyers, often preferring more transient fashions to the constancy of diamonds.
That could be about to change if Titan Industries has its way. The Indian based watchmaker is reported to be planning a range of youth oriented diamond jewelry, aimed at teenagers.
Titan has a customer base of over 80 million and over 60% of the Indian watch market. With that much clout it might succeed in creating a new market segment.
